At The Catholic University in Ružomberok Erasmus programme was implemented in 2001. It is dedicated to the needs in the area of teaching and learning of all the people connected with formal academical education and special education and special preparation for the third level, independently from the study length, accredited qualification, and also postgradual studies, as well as institutions and organisation which provide and support this kind of education and special preparation.
Since 2001 a growing number of mobilities can be seen each year. In 2004 first foreign students came to study at The CU under the Erasmus programme.

In 2009 a so-called buddy system was introduced to help incoming students after their arrival to Ružomberok. As stated in Erasmus Student Charter Erasmus students do not have to pay fees for tuition, registration, examinations or access to laboratory and library facilities during their studies at the university.
The number of Erasmus partner universities is also increasing. At present the list of them contains more than 70 European institutions. To view the list click here
