Abstract: This study, prepared on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education, presents an outline of Maria Grzegorzewska's biography and selected aspects of her activity in the field of special education, aimed at fulfilling her vocation to social service for the disabled.
