Erasmus+ Mobility KA171 (International Credit Mobility – ICM) 

     

    Welcome to the Catholic University in Ružomberok (CU)! We are pleased that you are interested in participating in the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility programme.

    This webpage is intended for incoming staff from partner institutions who visit our university for training purposes. Here you will find essential information regarding:

    • eligibility and conditions of mobility,

    • administrative procedures,

    • practical information before and during your stay,

    • contact details.


    Training Mobility

    Training mobility focuses on:

    • professional training,

    • job shadowing,

    • exchange of good practices in areas such as administration, management, student services, libraries, IT, international relations, etc.

    The training programme is agreed individually with the receiving department.


    Eligibility and Requirements

    Who can apply

    • staff members of partner institutions involved in the Erasmus+ KA171 project,

    • officially nominated by their home institution.

    Language requirements

    • good knowledge of English (or another agreed working language),

    • knowledge of Slovak is not required.


    Application Procedure

    Step 1: Nomination

    The applicant must be officially nominated by the home institution.

    Step 2: Contacting the Receiving Department

    After nomination, the applicant should:

    • agree on the mobility programme,

    • confirm the mobility period,

    • identify a contact person / mentor at CU (martin.pinkos@ku.sk).

    Step 3: Documents Before Arrival

    Before the mobility, the following documents are required:

    • Mobility Agreement (Training) signed by all parties,

    • Application form,
    • copy of a valid travel document,

    • any additional documents requested by the Erasmus+ coordinator.


    Financial Support

    Grant

    The mobility is funded by the Erasmus+ programme and includes:

    • individual support (subsistence allowance),

    • travel grant (based on distance bands).

    The exact grant amount will be communicated individually according to the applicable Erasmus+ rules.

    Payment

    The grant is paid:

    • before and/or during the mobility,

    • after fulfilment of all required obligations.


    Practical Information

    Accommodation

    • participants arrange accommodation individually,

    • the university can provide recommendations upon request.

    Travel and Transport

    • information on arrival in Ružomberok,

    • public transport and orientation in the city.

    Insurance

    Participants must have:

    • valid health insurance covering their stay in Slovakia,

    • additional travel and accident insurance is strongly recommended.


    During the Mobility

    First Day

    • registration at the International Relations Office,

    • introduction to the programme and schedule.

    Support During the Stay

    • academic and administrative support,

    • assistance in case of any issues.


    Obligations After the Mobility

    After completing the mobility, participants are required to:

    • complete the EU Survey (Participant Report),

    • submit a Certificate of Attendance,

    • fulfil any additional reporting requirements.

    Entry Conditions and Visa Requirements

    Incoming participants from certain countries may be subject to specific entry conditions for the Slovak Republic, including the visa obligation and/or residence permit requirements, depending on their nationality, length of stay and purpose of mobility.

    Participants are fully responsible for:

    • checking the applicable entry and residence requirements before their arrival,

    • ensuring that they hold all necessary travel documents, visas or residence permits required for their stay in Slovakia.

    The Catholic University in Ružomberok may provide, upon request:

    • general information related to entry requirements,

    • an invitation or confirmation letter for Erasmus+ mobility purposes.

    However, the university cannot guarantee the issuance of a visa or residence permit, as the final decision lies with the competent Slovak authorities.

    Incoming participants are strongly advised to:

    • contact the Embassy or Consulate of the Slovak Republic in their country of residence,

    • start the visa or residence permit application process well in advance of the planned mobility period.
