The University Library of the Catholic University in Ružomberok is the central library and the information centre of the Catholic University in Ružomberok (hereinafter referred only as “UK KU”) with two departments at TF KU in Košice and Theological institution in Spišské Podhradie.

The mission of the UK KU is to provide free access to information disseminated on all kinds of carriers by library and  information services, to satisfy cultural, information , research and educational needs of its users and to support long-life learning and intellectual development.

UK KU provides library and information services to faculty staff, researchers and professionals of the Catholic University, students of all kinds of studies and professional public.

The new modern library of The Catholic University is located in the university campus on Hrabovská cesta 1A. It is a centre of academic activities for teachers, students, citizens of the Liptov region and Žilina self-governing region. You can find more than 310 000 books and a large archive with more than 470,000 volumes in the library, as well as a section with valuable publications. More than 500 students have possibility to study there at the same time. The building also contains rooms for cultural and social events, conference rooms, quiet study rooms, a bookshop, a coffee bar and a number of study places with computers providing access to digitized books. The library staff is ready to help you and explain how to use the on-line catalogue and electronic information resources faster and more easily. Erasmus students can use the full library services.
