New Opportunities for Cooperation: CU Hosted Partners from Armenia, Ukraine, Montenegro, and Tunisia
Among the incoming mobility visits was a delegation from Yerevan State University (Armenia), represented by Lia Evoyan from the International Relations Office (IRO). The university is the oldest in Armenia, with well-established international cooperation, and is actively involved in the Erasmus+ programme, not only through the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. As part of the meetings at the CU International Relations and Mobility, she also attended an informational seminar for CU students, and the possibility of collaborating on the creation of a Slovakia-Armenia dictionary was discussed. That same week, we also welcomed a representative from Ukrainian Catholic University (Ukraine), Mariia Myshlovska (IRO), who represented a university known for its emphasis on internationalisation and active participation in Erasmus+ projects.
Another visit was made by representatives from our partner institution, Adriatic University Bar (Montenegro), namely Sandra Ðurović (lecturer, Department of Management, Faculty of Education) and Ivana Kovač Ðukić (training, Academic Affairs Office). The university focuses primarily on the fields of management and tourism and actively develops international cooperation through the Erasmus+ programme. During the meeting, a proposal to expand mutual cooperation was presented, and the planned implementation of two student mobility programmes at the Catholic University, specifically the Department of Management of the Faculty of Education, was discussed.
The university also welcomed representatives from the University of Sousse (Tunisia), specifically Hichem Romdhani and Aymen Ajina. During their visit, working meetings were held at the Faculty of Arts and Letters, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Education.
As part of the visit programme, the representatives from the University of Sousse also took a tour of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Catholic University, accompanied by Dr. Marina Potašová. They also showed interest in the services of the CU Counselling Center, where they met with Mgr. Lenka Horváthová.
A working meeting at the Department of Management of the Faculty of Philosophy at KU, attended by the department head, Prof. Iveta Ubrežiová, Dr. Karol Čarnogurský, and Dr. Anna Diačiková. After introducing their respective departments, the participants discussed current activities and ongoing projects and expressed interest in further collaboration, particularly in the areas of research, project activities, and publishing.
The meeting confirmed that despite differing cultural and academic environments, the partner institutions share similar academic focuses and common research interests. The meeting took place in a very pleasant and constructive atmosphere, and both sides expressed interest in continuing their collaboration.
The Catholic University has a longstanding partnership with these universities, within which several exchange programs for incoming students and staff have been implemented, particularly in the fields of English language studies and the humanities, such as history and theology.
