    On October 19th till October 20th 2023 the XIV. Slovak conference of nurses working in anaesthesiology and intensive care took place in Bešeňová. The main organizers of the event were the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, the Section of Nurses working in anaesthesiology and intensive care under the auspices of the European Federation of Critical Care Nurses associations, and the co-organizers were the Faculty of Health, Catholic University in Ružomberok and the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives in Ružomberok. The conference was also attended by sisters from the Czech republic, Poland and Serbia. All participants of the conference were welcomed by the vice-dean for science, research and foreign relations Jozef Babečka, associate professor and by Marcela Ižová, PhD. from Department of Nursing. Also, 13 students of the second and third year study of Nursing took place at the conference. Head of the section, Bc.František Naňo in his speech drew attention to the advent of artificial intelligence in our lives, which can help nurses in areas such as to identify patients who are at risk of developing complications for example bedsores. Likewise, artificial intelligence can reduce nurses workload by automatic repetitive tasks. A second, no less interesting topic that affect the environment and public health is the impact of anaesthesiology and intensive care. Together, 37 presentations were presented. The students from Nursing department, Faculty of Health, Catholic University expressed their satisfaction:“The presentations were very beneficial for us. I liked discussions after each section, where experts commented presentations. I am very thankful to Faculty of Health, Catholic University in Ružomberok and to the organizers, that I could took place at the conference and gain new konwledge. “ Viktória Mihóková.
