Graduate (MA) Admissions
We offer a teacher-training programme Teaching of English Language and Literature taught mainly in English. Additionally, it is possible to combine Teaching of English Language and Literature with other field on offer (see the complete list of our MA programmes) but the other part of the programme is taught in Slovak.

Admission Requirements
- a completed undergraduate (BA) education in the same or a similar study programme
- a commitment to respect the Catholic ethos of the University and the Faculty
- applicants for the study programme Teaching of Slovak Language and Literature who obtained their secondary education outside the Slovak Republic are required to provide proof of proficiency in the Slovak language at a minimum level of B2 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- applicants for the study programme Psychology must successfully pass an entrance examination in the form of an oral interview focused on verifying knowledge corresponding to a single-major Bachelor’s degree programme in Psychology and on assessing the applicant’s personal and motivational prerequisites for the study of Psychology (including proficiency in the Slovak language at a minimum level of A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
Applicants must submit:
- an application form (printed or online application form)
- a curriculum vitae
- a verified copy of a BA diploma (a document of their undergraduate education such as a BA diploma, addendum to this diploma or state exams results); foreign graduates are required to submit a copy of a recognition of foreign education (this could be usually provided by our university)
- a receipt of payment of the application fee

Preparatory - Slovak Language Programs
The Faculty of Arts and Letters of the Catholic University does not offer a preparatory year or any preparatory courses in the Slovak language for international applicants. Prospective students are expected to meet the Slovak language and academic requirements independently before applying.
