Discovering Slovakia During their Study Mobility

We are happy to welcome new international students for their student mobility in Ruzomberok.
Discovering Slovakia During their Study Mobility

Several international students have chosen Ruzomberok as the place where they plan to carry out their study mobility program. In the winter semester of the academic year 2021/2022, we are pleased to welcome Erasmus students from such countries as France, Ukraine, Armenia, Albania and Turkey, but we are very happy that for the first time we have a student from our partner university in the Ukrainian city Kamianets-Podilskyi who is supported by the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic. Moreover, we are glad that a sizable group of international students selected study programs from our Faculty of Arts and Letters.

During this semester, our international students are again able to attend the course Discover Slovakia, which allows them to explore history, culture and art of Slovakia. One of the first classes of this course traditionally focused on the Slovak folk culture. In his talk, the lecturer Jozef Zentko introduced Slovakia via a UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, he discussed samples of traditional folk costumes and at the end of the class students had a chance to dance a Slovak folk dance.

We wish a fruitful mobility in Ruzomberok to our incoming international students.
