The Faculty of Arts and Letters of the Catholic University in Ružomberok has been implementing, since November 2025, a project entitled “Matching” Grants to Resources Obtained from the Private Sector within the Research Cooperation of the Catholic University in Ružomberok (1 January – 31 December 2023), financed from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic (project No. 09I02-03-V02-00052).

The project was established on the basis of cooperation between the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the Catholic University in Ružomberok and Vydavateľstvo Nové mesto, s.r.o. Its main objective is to develop the technical and scientific infrastructure of the Faculty’s media centre. Within the project, a modern video studio was procured, consisting of a control unit with PTZ cameras, as well as a complete sound system.

The delivery of the technological equipment took place in January, and the new facilities have already been used in the production of a media programme. The implementation of the project will significantly contribute to improving the quality of journalism education, expanding opportunities for students’ practical training, and supporting the development of the Faculty’s research and media activities. The investment has also strengthened cooperation with external partners and enhanced the professional preparedness of future graduates.
