Our students on "Il Camino di San Francesco"

The route is certified by the Saint Francis Ways. It consists of five separate stages, starting in the cathedral in Rimini on the Adriatic coast, continuing through the Emilia-Romagna region, and ending in Tuscany. The pilgrimage culminates at La Verna, at an altitude of 1,283 meters above sea level. On this hill there is a cave where, according to tradition, St. Francis of Assisi received the stigmata. However, there are other places along the way (e.g. San Leo, Veruchio) where Francis stayed with his brothers and where monasteries of the Friars Minor gradually arose.
A total of 110 km, an elevation gain of more than 1,200 meters, spending each night in a different place, carrying all your luggage with you... all this is part of the life of a pilgrim, which is both demanding and beautiful. This pilgrimage was made unforgettable not only by the beautiful nature and places of extraordinary spiritual and historical value, but also by encounters with people who take care of this pilgrimage route (Franco Boarelli, Marco Zambelli, and others).
