Philosophy Doctoral Students from Hradec Králové and Ružomberok Meet at our Faculty

More specifically, we had a chance to welcome 3 PhD students and 1 Master's degree student in the field of philosophy accompanied by the head of the department Michal Rigel. At the PhD conference Pluralism in Philosophy, Matěj Křížecký, James Gates, Petr Jošt and Jas Emanuel Symen together with our PhD students, Iveta Kloptová and Tomáš Priehradný, discussed the results of their research. In addition to the students, Eugen Zeleňák, a lecturer of the home department of philosophy, also gave a lecture. The presenters dealt with a variety of philosophical topics and problems; they discussed, for example, speculative bioethics, personal identity, a specific interpretation of the origin of religion, but also Wittgenstein and psychotherapy, and various theories of property.
The whole event was initiated and organized by Iveta Kloptová. She established contacts with Hradec Králové thanks to her previous research stay at this university. The event took place within the project VEGA 1/0354/24 Plurality and Relativism in Contemporary Philosophy.
