Members of the Department of Mathematics provide education for mathematics teachers for primary and secondary schools.

    The theoretical part of the educational process lies in lectures, exercises and seminars. The student gains knowledge of mathematical applications, uses analytical-synthetic thought processes in solving mathematical tasks and in the cognitive process. The student is provided with the broad theoretical knowledge that is necessary to master teaching ability in teaching his / her specialization. The student is able to apply acquired knowledge in teaching and educational activities. During his studies he gains a brief overview of current trends in mathematical research and knows the most important publications of domestic and foreign authors. During the creation of the thesis, the student should become a specialist in the thematic issues and prepare for the profession of mathematics teacher. The student knows the organization of education and the structure of the content of teaching mathematics at different types of schools.

    Practical skills of mathematics are acquired at seminars and exercises. The student is able to solve mathematical tasks given at various levels of mathematical education.

    The student knows the technical and multimedia equipment of teaching mathematics and related fields, can use them and ensure their operation. The student knows the terminology of mathematics and uses it at various stages of mathematical education.
