Professional characteristics

Daniel has a PhD in Social Work; he graduated in Counseling and Social Communication (MA), and Teaching of History and Slovak Language. He has been an Assistant Professor at Catholic University in Ruzomberok, Department of Social Work. He is also the Head of the Department of Social Work. He is the Slovak coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus ESWOCHY European Joint Master in Social Work with Children and Youth, the first Erasmus Mundus project at Slovak universities. At the Faculty of Education he is Vice-Chairman of the Academic Senate. At the same time, he is a Communications Specialist at the Faculty.

Daniel is passionate about career counselling, including the situation of graduates. His field of interest also covers minorities and marginalized groups from the perspective of social sciences. He is the author of more than three dozens of scholarly publications. He is a frequently invited speaker in Slovakia and has delivered lectures in the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Portugal, and Poland. He also works as a trainer and consultant in the areas of career development, linking education to the labour market and teaching methodologies.
