Professional characteristics

Mgr. Lucia Pažitná, Ph.D., serves as an assistant professor in the field of social work. She earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in social work, specializing in the “Social Communication and Counseling” program at the master’s level. In her professional and research work, she focuses primarily on social work with families after divorce, post-divorce care, and various forms of child care following parental separation.  She pays special attention to the issue of shared custody, taking the child’s needs into account, and promoting parental cooperation through a coaching approach.

In her teaching, she instructs courses on Social Work Planning, Selected Client Groups, Case Study Seminar, Resocialization Methods, and Philosophy in the Social Sphere. She also leads a seminar on the final thesis. 

She also leads a seminar on the thesis. She is involved in the KEGA project No. 022KU-4/2025, “The Application of Coaching Using International Theory and Practice in the Slovak Educational Process.” Her professional and publishing activities link the issues of post-divorce care and shared parenting with the potential uses of coaching to support communication and cooperation between parents.

She publishes in both domestic and international professional and scientific journals, actively participates in scientific conferences, and is also involved in compiling and editing.
