The Catholic University in Ružomberok is an active member of several international networks and partnerships that promote academic cooperation, research, knowledge exchange, and the development of value-based education. Participation in these networks allows us to engage in global discussions, implement joint projects, and strengthen our role in the educational landscape of Europe and beyond.

    European Federation of Catholic Universities (FUCE)

    FUCE was established in 1991 to foster cooperation among Catholic universities in Europe. It focuses on academic, research, and cultural exchange and supports European integration. It organizes annual general assemblies to discuss joint projects, scholarships, and the development of the network. FUCE emphasizes the importance of the identity and mission of Catholic universities in today's society. Our university is a proud member of this network.

    Catholic Universities Partnership (CUP)

    The partnership is led by the Nanovic Institute at the University of Notre Dame (USA). Its goal is to support and renew Catholic universities in post-communist European countries. Since 2005, it has organized annual conferences in various European cities. The institute connects research, teaching, and public discourse on European studies. Our university is part of this valuable initiative.

    International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU)

    IFCU unites Catholic universities worldwide and promotes their academic cooperation and exchange of experiences. It focuses on reflecting Catholic identity in the context of research, education, and social engagement. Established in 1924, IFCU now has over 250 members. It also supports equality, diversity, and sustainable development. Our university is a member of this prestigious federation.

    Three Seas University Network (3SUN)

    3SUN connects universities from the Three Seas Initiative countries to foster economic growth through research, innovation, and education. The network emphasizes linking science with practice and focuses on addressing regional challenges. Its goals include strengthening partnerships, implementing joint projects, and securing European grants. Knowledge exchange and the internationalization of education play a key role. We are an active member of this promising network.

    Baltic University Programme (BUP)

    BUP is a network of universities in the Baltic Sea region that supports education and research in sustainable development. It was founded in 1991 and is coordinated by Uppsala University in Sweden. The programme offers courses, seminars, research projects, exchange opportunities, and publications. It focuses on topics such as the environment, societal challenges, and regional development. Membership in BUP strengthens our environmental and international activities.

    Magna Charta Observatory (MCO)

    The Magna Charta Observatory is an international organization that safeguards academic freedom and university autonomy. It was established in 1988 in Bologna to mark the 900th anniversary of the founding of the University of Bologna and is behind the Magna Charta Universitatum, a document outlining the fundamental principles of free and independent university education. Membership enables universities to share best practices, participate in international dialogues, and reinforce the principles of academic integrity. MCO organizes conferences, provides guidance, and publishes expert materials to support university autonomy worldwide.

    EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion

    EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion is a one-stop shop for researchers and innovators seeking to advance their careers and personal development by moving to other countries. We provide tailored information and support, free of charge, to researchers, entrepreneurs, and research-performing organizations. Our unique web portal offers job, funding, and hosting opportunities, career development guidance, free tools, and much more. The EURAXESS network includes 43 European countries and 9 global hubs.

    U10+

    The Catholic University of Ružomberok is a member of the Slovak U10+ university consortium. The aim of the consortium is to improve conditions for the integration of Slovak universities. It facilitates synergies by combining resources and capacities in education, research, and student services.

    ESWOCHY

    The Catholic University of Ružomberok is a member of ESWOCHY, a consortium of universities from four EU countries offering a joint Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree programme. Our university is the first institution in Slovak history to be awarded an Erasmus Mundus grant.
