On September 8, 2025, we opened the third semester of the European Joint Master's Program, which is one of the unique study opportunities, because students will try their hand at studying at four different universities in four different countries throughout the entire duration. The opening ceremony took place at the University Library of the Catholic University of Ružomberok.

The European Joint Master's Program in Social Work with Children and Youth (abbr. ESWOCHY) brings together students from all over the world, who gradually study at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius; Riga Stradins University in Riga; Catholic University in Ružomberok and the University Institute Lisbon in Lisbon. The Master's program is studied for 4 semesters.

The goal of the program is to prepare highly qualified professionals for the position of leaders in the field of social work with children. Throughout the duration of the programme, the foundation of social work theory, social sciences, European and local knowledge, international research, policy development and the latest knowledge on the use of ICT in social work practice with children and youth are combined. The language of the programme is English.
