The approved project marks another significant milestone in the internationalization of the Catholic University in Ružomberok. The funding will support mobility activities across five regions: the Western Balkans, the Eastern Neighbourhood, the Southern Mediterranean, Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Partner countries involved in the project include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, China, South Africa, and Zambia. The grant will facilitate academic exchange, strengthen professional networks, foster new forms of cooperation, and enhance the international dimension of education at the university.

This latest achievement builds on the Catholic University's previous successes under the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. Between 2022 and 2026, the university secured a total of EUR 625,057 through this action. The 2026 grant is also the largest KA171 grant awarded to the university over the past five Erasmus+ calls.

The Erasmus+ KA171 programme enables higher education institutions to cooperate with partner countries that are not associated with the Erasmus+ programme. For the Catholic University in Ružomberok, it represents an important instrument for advancing internationalization, developing academic partnerships, and increasing the university's visibility within the broader international academic community.

This success confirms the university's long-term commitment to international cooperation and its ability to prepare high-quality project proposals. Thanks to the approved funding, new opportunities will emerge for academic collaboration, international mobility, and professional partnerships with institutions across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the European Union's neighbouring regions.
