Discovering Middle Eastern culture through Erasmus+ KA171 mobility

During their stay in Ružomberok, ASU teachers (Nasser Abdellatif, Reem Abu Tayeh) held several working meetings with representatives of KU, in particular with representatives of the international relations office (Martin Pinkoš, Izabela Nováková), as well as with members of the Faculty of Health Sciences at CU in Ružomberok responsible for education (Martin Bereta, Marina Potašová). The discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations between the two institutions, exchanging experiences with the implementation of international mobility, and possibilities for joint project initiatives in the future.
The program included thematic presentations focused on introducing the Catholic University in Ružomberok, its faculties, study programs, as well as the advantages of studying and mobility in Slovakia. The partner university also provided a detailed overview of its international activities and strategic direction in the field of internationalization. Special attention was paid to discussing opportunities for expanding cooperation within other key Erasmus+ program activities and research activities.
The mobility significantly contributed to establishing new contacts and strengthening existing cooperation between CU and ASU. Both sides declared their willingness to develop joint projects in the areas of higher education, research, and intercultural dialogue. The experience gained and contacts made create an excellent basis for the further development of CU's international cooperation in the field of higher education in the Middle East. At the same time, the mobility program represented a significant opportunity to broaden horizons, exchange good practices, and strengthen the image of the Catholic University as an open and active academic institution in the international arena.
