KU Strengthens International Ties with New Erasmus+ Partnerships

The Catholic University (CU) has expanded its international cooperation by signing several new bilateral agreements with prestigious European institutions under the Erasmus+ KA131 programme. These agreements, concluded over the past six months, mark an important step in broadening CU’s academic reach and providing new opportunities for student and staff mobility.

    The newly established partnerships include:

    • Conservatorio di Musica "Santa Cecilia" (Italy)
    • Università degli Studi Niccolò Cusano Telematica Roma (Italy)
    • Veliko Tarnovo University St. Cyril and St. Methodius (Bulgaria)
    • Lutera Akadēmija (Latvia)
    • University of Niš (Serbia)
    • Catholic University of Applied Sciences North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany)
    • University of Seville (Spain)

These new agreements reflect our ongoing commitment to internationalisation and respond to the growing demand for diverse, high-quality academic mobility opportunities. They enable us to expand mobility beyond the humanities and social sciences to include the arts and health sciences.

The agreements are part of CU’s long-term strategy to deepen international academic collaboration. Students will benefit from enriched educational experiences in a variety of cultural and academic settings. These international experiences not only enhance academic growth, but also strengthen language skills, cultural awareness, and future employability.

Faculty members will also gain new opportunities to teach abroad, attend international seminars, and collaborate on joint research projects. Working with institutions across Europe brings fresh perspectives into both teaching and research. These partnerships are a valuable asset for the entire university community and support our vision of a truly international university.
