Professor Lacko becomes Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the CU
The event began with a Holy Mass in the Organ Room of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the CU, celebrated by Blessed Zdenka Schelingová, a nun of the Order of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross and patroness of the Faculty.
During the Holy Mass, those present also remembered the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the CU, which we are commemorating this year.
After her jump, the ceremonial handover of the appointment decree to Prof. MUDr. Anton Lacko, CSc., who once again became the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, followed. The rector's speech included words of praise and gratitude for the way in which the faculty has been fulfilling its mission for the second decade, which lies mainly in the education of future professional health professionals.
The Faculty of Health Sciences has considerable plans for the future, as evidenced by the presentation of the re-elected dean, which was dedicated to new plans in connection with the construction of the Skill Care simulation center, for which the university received a grant of almost 10 million.
Who is Anton Lacko?
Prof. MUDr. Anton Lacko, CSc. graduated from general medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava, later certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear medicine. He expanded his postgraduate education with certification in nuclear medicine and health management and financing. In 2009, he was appointed by the President of the Slovak Republic as a university professor.
In addition to teaching, he also works as the head of the Nuclear Medicine Clinic of the ÚVN SNP Ružomberok.
Prof. MUDr. Anton Lacko, CSc. is one of the founders of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the CU.
