Christmas 2024: They are not obvious and they can connect

Dear colleagues, dear students, all dear friends,

the older I get, the more I realize that what we once took for granted—health, home, or peace—is actually a precious gift. I appreciate every moment of life and I want to be grateful for everything that life brings.

I think the same way about Christmas. It is an exceptional holiday, the only one of its kind, and it is not at all obvious that we will meet our loved ones by the Christmas tree, moreover, in peace and love. It is a gift that we ourselves must contribute to.

Therefore - let us appreciate that we can celebrate the birth of the Son of God together with our loved ones, even at a generous table, in abundance - and without the clanging of weapons.

Let's give thanks for all the good things that have come our way this year. Trust me, it wasn't enough. All the lectures, internships abroad, conferences, projects, research and scientific activities, negotiations, meetings, leisure activities, meetings with family and friends ... Everything will surely bear fruit and benefit from your efforts.

Thank you for remaining faithful to the Catholic University in 2024 and also thank you for all the favors you have shown me personally and the entire management of our university. Thank you so much for your prayers, words of support, smile, helping hand...

We are in the same boat and each of us participates in creating a unique atmosphere of acceptance, collegiality of friendship at KU, together with a distinct quality and professional character.

During the following magical days, let's not forget what Christmas does best - bringing people together. In the light of the star of Bethlehem, we are invited to sit together at one table. Despite our differences, what really matters unites us in the unique Christmas atmosphere: love, respect, trust and togetherness.

A new year is approaching, which will be wonderful for us: we will dive into 25 years of successful operation of our alma mater. We can already look forward to the moments we will spend together at the Catholic University, our "Libra beauty".

I wish that we live this important anniversary to the fullest and together. Please actively participate in all the planned events of the 25th anniversary of the founding of KU and let's create a real, full-fledged academic community in which there is a place for each and every one of us. I will be happy to welcome you personally.

Until the next few days, I wish you a lot of rest, joy, so that you can fully enjoy the magic of Christmas, and I wish you a lot of health, inspiration and academic success in the new year!

As a small Christmas gift for everyone, we created the well-known carol Ščedryk, which was interpreted by teachers and students of our university.
