Abstrakt/ Abstract: Sacral architecture is an important and integral part of culture and art. In its development it provides conitinuity in main principes , which are subordinated to the development tendencies of individual stages of historical styles, liturgy and symbolic. Due to the influence of various circumstances (capacity, liturgical, static, etc.) in the course of historical development, there have always been interventions in the older substance in the form of recomstructions, additions, or others. This article deals with main causes, on the basis of which there were various interventions in older substance of sacral objects in a historical overview up to the end of the 19th century.
