Abstrakt/ Abstract: This paper examines the importance of group processes when implementing cooperative learning in a school setting. In the 21st century, cooperation among students is considered one of the key life and work competencies. Cooperative learning is an effective pedagogical approach that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional development of pupils. This paper aims to identify the key attributes of cooperative learning, demonstrating that high-quality classroom collaboration is not the result of chance, but rather the consequence of teachers purposefully working with group dynamics. It analyses the basic conditions for effective cooperative collaboration, including methods of forming groups, assigning roles, promoting constructive communication, the stages of team development and the importance of a safe social-emotional climate.
