Abstrakt/ Abstract: The study is an attempt to outline the socio-political thinking of Ján Francisci in the reflection of his written heritage. We seek to understand the philosophical context of the problem within this goal. We see the thinking of Francisci in relation to Hegel, the national movement of Slovaks and Slavic peoples. We also focus on its socio-philosophical orientation. We also analyze the historical side of the issue. We are based on biographical memories, letters, scattered thoughts. The ultimate goal is to prepare an image of the social, philosophical and political views of Ján Francisci on the basis of existing material.
