Abstrakt/ Abstract: In the east of Slovakia, from the beginning of the 13th century, ecclesiastical institutions - monasteries, prepositories and parishes - began to increase in large numbers. One of them is the chancellery in Myšl, which was part of the Jáger diocese. It was not a monastery. Until now, its beginning is connected with the first written mention from 1289. Editions of documents and a lot of archival material create the possibility to explore medieval history more deeply. That's how it is in this case as well. Court files form a special group in medieval writings. When interpreting, I rely on Hungarian customary law and the decrees and church customs valid until then. The aim of the research is to clarify the circumstances of the formation of the Prepository. From this I then draw conclusions that relate to the time of creation itself, founders and patrons as well as the properties of the Prepository.
