Abstrakt/ Abstract: The research study aims to create a narrative overview study in the field of research on innovative teachers and their profession at the primary education in Slovakia. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive view of the importance of innovation in teaching and pedeutology in the context of primary education in Slovakia. The study begins by defining key terms such as innovation in teaching and pedeutology and establishes a theoretical framework for discussing innovative approaches of teachers at the primary level. It then analyses current research and studies on innovative teachers, with an emphasis on their status, qualities and impact on children. Primary and secondary studies were searched in the Google Scholar and Researchgate databases. Studies were searched between 2015 and 2023. This narrative review study builds on existing research and contributes to a better understanding of the importance of innovation and pedagogy in the primary teaching profession.
