Abstrakt/ Abstract: Interventions in the sacral object have their real causes and are characterized by specific manifestations in the material scope. In following post I want to describe the method of handling the older substance in a historical overview up to the end of the 19th century. Then a qualitative change occurs, requiring a different formal and evaluation approach. The classification of this evaluation is not a cause that conditioned the intervention, but its typological side. The targeted interventions were often repeated during several developmental and stylistic stages. I am interested in the very characteristics of dealing with an older substance in the amterial – spatial and expressive sense. The examples that I present are illustrative, while there are mainly focused on the Slovak country.
