    Abstract: The paper describes the theoretical background of school occupational therapy as a common component in school settings abroad. Since school occupational therapy is an underdeveloped therapeutic approach in our environment in the paper we point out its possibilities of use for the special educator. The author presents the results of a long-term occupational therapy intervention implemented in a pupil with dyspraxia, educated in a mainstream school without the use of support measures in a primary school setting. The Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) model is applied in the context of the intervention, which focuses on addressing limiting areas such as movement planning, attentional concentration, short-term memory and academic limitations resulting from the above factors. Based on the selected problem, the author presents the importance of occupational therapy support in practicing and reinforcing the curriculum in a science-oriented subject.
