Abstrakt/ Abstract: This study focuses on the theological reflection on the relationship between technology and spiritual theology in Pope Francis' encyclicals Laudato si' and Frateli tutti. It shows that his theological reflection on this phenomenon not only has the social dimension inherent in previous popes, but that he reflects on technology in a more profound and new way. The study shows that for pastoral and spiritual reflection and practice to be informed by the theology of these encyclicals, it will be necessary to focus on developing two – modernly reflected – phenomena that are not commonly linked, namely digital wellbeing and spiritual literacy. Their critical integration is one of the fundamental points of contemporary theological inquiry if it is to be anchored in modern society.
