Abstract: In the paper, we deal with the context of the connection between man and the landscape and with changes in the landscape in a historical context, the impact of man's action on the landscape, destructive effects, disturbance of the landscape, devastation, landscape creation in the past through documentary photography to the current state of the landscape. We will focus on the recorded contrasts in the change of the landscape of Liptov through the documentary photography of K. Plicka. M. Martinček and comparing the current state of the country with the state of the country in the past. We will think about environmental approaches, or eco approaches.
