Abstrakt/Abstract: The phenomenon of codependency is one of the most widespread problems occurring in families of addicted persons. It is a complex and often overlooked phenomenon in the fields of social work, psychology, therapy, and counselling, even though the problem of codependency extends throughout society. The urgency of the issue lies in the proliferation of different types of addiction in contemporary families, which is causing a high incidence of codependency in the members of these families. In this article, we focus on the analysis of the nature of codependency, the causes of its emergence and development, the underlying manifestations, and the solution options that are used to correct codependent behavior.
