Abstract: 

Contribution: The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the lives of millions of people, but it has most affected the lives of healthcare workers and their families. In our communication, we draw attention to some factors that affected nurses in their care of Covid-positive patients.
Objective: The aim of the thesis was to describe the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the work of nurses; especially on their health and how the pandemic affected the personal lives of nurses and their families.
Methodology: The set was making up of general nurses who worked in the hospital‘s Covid wards. Quantitative method, questionnaire technique was using.
Results, discussion: We found that nurses are worry about their health, but consider it part of their profession. Most of the participants do not feel any changes in their health, only some report headaches, sleep problems, exhaustion and fatigue. Nurses are afraid of transmitting the infection to their loved ones, and the nurses‘ families are concerned about their health.
Conclusion: The Covid-19 pandemic affected the personal life of the nurses, mainly due to the fear of transmitting the infection to their family and neglecting domestic activities due to overtime and fatigue. The work of nurses deserves recognition, not only in times of crisis. However, the impact of the pandemic on the lives of health professionals will only become apparent with time.
