Abstract: The main aim of the research study was to describe the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs at small school with composite classes. Based on the main aim, partial aims were set, which were to describe the conditions for educating pupils with special educational needs at small school with composite classes, describe the benefit of education for pupils with special educational needs at small school with composite classes, and what methods are used when working with pupils with special educational needs during educational process. To achieve the aims of the research study the qualitative method with the technique of semi-structured interview was used. The research study has shown that teachers perceive small schools with composite classes as a suitable environment for educating pupils with special needs educational needs. Small schools with composite classes have a smaller number of pupils and create a more family environment than regular large schools. Although they are in the composite classes at school, the teacher tries to be flexible and work individually with the pupils according to their needs. Parents do not have to worry about small schools with composite classes, that the child would not be provided with a quality education as in ordinary schools’ type.
