Abstrakt/ Abstract: The paper deals with the analysis of ecological innovations within EU countries. To examine eco-innovation in EU countries, we used data on the performance of the Eco-Innovation Index in individual EU countries. To assess the closeness of the statistical dependence between the investigated variables, we used cluster analysis to decompose the basic set of investigated objects into several relatively homogeneous subsets - clusters. The results point to the fact that Northern European countries are leaders in eco-innovation, and countries tend to form geographically close clusters with a tendency to decrease in eco-innovation performance with increasing distance from the leaders in this area.
