Abstrakt/ Abstract: The contribution deals with human irrationality, which is a fundamental subject of research in behavioral economics compared to traditional neoclassical economics based on rationality. The article also deals with the basic principles of behavioral economics and case studies such as risk (loss) aversion, nudging, framing effect, decision bait and hyperbolic discounting. In the contribution are also characterized effects of neurotransmitters (dopamine and serotonin), which influence the irrationality of decisions.
