Abstrakt/ Abstract: The theoretical study is devoted to Augustin Bartoš, an important representative of education for persons with physical disabilities, who worked mainly in the first half of the 20th century, and his link is highly acknowledged for the education of people with physical disabilities and is still valid today. Augustin Bartoš is associated with the Jedlička’s Institute in Prague, which he headed for decades. During this engagement, he cooperated with several important personalities, especially with Rudolf Jedlička, who aimed to develop care for children, pupils and students with physical disabilities, which was completely insufficient. Augustin Bartoš’s main activities include educate children with physical disabilities, as well as publishing and pioneering. The aim of this study is to summarize the life and most important works of Augustin Bartoš, as well as to analyse the pedagogical link of this important personality.
