Abstract: This overview study deals with 5G networks - their architecture, applications and use and analyzes the latest studies describing the impact of 5G signal on human health (carcinogenic potential and effect on human fertility in two frequency bands). In the 450 – 6000 MHz frequency band, enough studies have been carried out to allow partial conclusions to be drawn, but in the 24 – 100 GHz frequency band, research on the adverse effects of RF EMF exposure is only beginning and remains unknown. The work also analyzes the introduction of new guidelines and recommendations from the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
Keywords: Mobile communication. 5G. Carcinogenicity. Fertility.
