Abstract: The authors present a pilot study aimed at investigating female students' experience of the emotional component of subjective well-being during an online experiential (E)motion course and comparing it with their experience in everyday life. The quantitative study has a comparative design and used a self-designed questionnaire. The research sample consisted of 45 female students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Matej Bel with an average age of 20.5 years. The main findings of the empirical analysis include that there is a significant difference with a large effect size in experiencing the emotional component of subjective well-being in negative emotions (sadness, irritability, anger), which are prevalent in female students in everyday life. In the case of positive emotions (joy, sociability), a significant difference was confirmed with a medium effect in favour of experiencing them during the course. A significant difference with a strong effect was found for loneliness, which was more prevalent among female students in everyday life.
