Abstrakt/ Abstract: Economic and social changes after the Second World War were also reflected in the education of children and pupils with special educational needs. The establishment of pedagogical and psychological counselling centres at the end of the 1950s was a contribution to increasing the quality of education of this group of pupils. We consider school integration and inclusive education, which began to develop especially in the early 1990s, to be important in the education of pupils with special needs.
