Abstract: The requirements of national education policy, in the context of current curriculum changes in education, call for the use of effective assessment to support the development of each pupil and to enhance their learning. In the educational process of primary education, formative assessment is one of the ways in which these objectives can be met. The present paper deals with formative assessment and the identification of forms and techniques of formative assessment that can be used in the educational process of primary education.
