Abstrakt/ Abstract: This paper focuses on the creative work of performers who significantly shaped the development of action and performative art in Italy. Based on the analysis of available documentation and archival materials, the study presents the artistic contributions of Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jannis Kounellis, Giuseppe Penone, Marina Abramović, Ketty La Rocca and Gina Pane – artists whose work had a profound impact on the evolution of performative strategies within the Italian art context of the second half of the 20th century. The paper addresses themes such as performer identity, corporeality, spatiality, and the relationship between individual artistic gesture and broader socio-cultural frameworks.
