Abstrakt/ Abstract: The paper analyses the position, but also the justification of the traditional medium of painting in the digital age. The emergence of digital technologies in art, but also its consequences and implications, impacts and also the question marks that this phenomenon raises. It also reflects the personalities of European painting from the deeper history to the present.
