Abstrakt/ Abstract: The paper focuses on the importance of self-evaluation of senior educational staff as a tool for improving the quality of school management. The authors developed and applied a self-evaluation questionnaire that reflects professional competencies in accordance with Ministerial Directive No. 39/2017. The research, conducted on a sample of primary school principals and deputy principals, identified strengths and weaknesses in the areas of normative, economic, and conceptual management, personnel management, educational process management, and professional development. The findings highlight the need for systematic self-evaluation, which supports the personal and professional growth of leaders in education. The paper also provides recommendations for improving functional training and enhancing the practical skills of senior staff.
