Abstrakt/ Abstract: This article explores the experiences of parents during their child's transition into kindergarten. It focuses on the subjective management of separation and the level of satisfaction with the support provided by the kindergarten. The research was conducted through an online questionnaire survey completed by 387 parents. The aim was to examine whether there is a relationship between parents’ subjective experience of separation, their preferred parenting approach, and the scope of support received. The findings indicated that a higher number of support measures was associated with greater parental satisfaction, though not with the emotional experience of separation. Partial differences were identified among parent groups with different parenting orientations; however, no statistically significant associations were found. The study highlights the importance of support provided to parents during the adaptation period and emphasizes the need for a differentiated approach from kindergartens.
