    Abstrakt/ Abstract: The paper focuses on analyzing the importance of drawing and graphomotor activities in the development of fine motor skills in children aged 3–7 years. The aim of the study was to identify and synthesize the results of domestic (Slovak and Czech) and foreign empirical research focused on the relationship between drawing, graphomotor skills, and fine motor skills through a systematic narrative review. The analysis included empirical studies published in Slovak, Czech, and English that met predefined criteria for focus, age of the study population, and availability of the full text. The results indicate that drawing fulfills a dual function in preschool education—it is an important diagnostic indicator of the level of graphomotor readiness and, at the same time, an effective intervention tool in stimulation programs for the development of fine motor skills. Intervention and developmental studies confirm that systematically guided drawing and graphomotor activities can lead to measurable improvements in motor precision, eye-hand coordination, and prerequisites for later writing acquisition. At the same time, it appears that the effect of interventions depends on the age of the child, the frequency and structure of the exercises, and the overall educational context.
