Abstrakt/ Abstract: This study examines the participation of Czechoslovak medical personnel in the Spanish Civil War from 1936-1939. The first part of the article maps the chronology of Czechoslovak volunteers' arrival in Republican Spain from 1936, analyzing organizational structures and financing of medical aid through the Committee for Aid to Democratic Spain. Primary attention is devoted to the activities of the Jan Amos Comenius Field Hospital, which represented the most significant form of Czechoslovak medical support. The article traces the hospital's operations in four locations: Guadalajara, Benicasim, Mataró, and Vic, documenting the healthcare services provided, organizational changes, and challenges associated with wartime conditions. Special attention is given to the collaboration between Czechoslovak medical personnel and international colleagues and their contribution to the development of wartime medicine. The second part of the study contains a biographical analysis of thirty-nine identified Czechoslovak medical workers, revealing their national, educational, and political composition.
