    Abstrakt/ Abstract: This article is a partial output of a project focused on examining predictors of excessive internet use among university students and was created with the support of the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic as part of the project "Risk and protective predictors of excessive internet use among university students" (internal project number KU: IG-2024-004-D). The aim of the paper is to systematically present the proposed methodological framework and research tool developed in the preparatory phase of the research. The presented methodological design is a basic prerequisite for the implementation of empirical data collection and its subsequent analytical processing.
