Abstrakt/ Abstract: The article examines photography as a medium with the potential to mediate recorded events through the lenses of retrospection, presentness, and perspective, while analyzing its significance not only in theoretical terms, but also within the artistic-pedagogical context. The research probe draws on students’ personal archives and on the memory dimension of photography, its interpretative potential in the present, and its capacity to generate possible future scenarios. At the same time, it explores the ways in which photography is used in visual art, where it acquires new meanings through media shifts and experimentation. Special attention is given to working with photography in combination with textiles/embroidery, which enables the crossing of boundaries of the traditional image and its transformation into a haptic, conceptual layer. The study demonstrates that photography is not only a document or visual archive, but also a creative and critical tool in art education that opens a dialogue between memory, presence, and perspective.
